Testimonials What our customers say
Ensure the peace of
your family and home
It’s awful to think that your home could be invaded by burglars, when you are not there or when you are there. Ensure that your home is secure to a high level with strong and secure locks.
Bought a no-chain house? Here's why you should change the locks immediately with SureKey Locksmiths Stoke-on-Trent
Excited about moving into a new house with no-chain, so you can move in quick and take care of your next home?
Be careful to change the locks 🔐 as soon as you are given the keys. A new home owner in Stoke-on-Trent rang SureKey Locksmiths in a hurry because they had found out that the previous owner was a landlord. The landlord had bought the house to rent 10 years ago and the new owners had heard from neighbours that the last tenant had caused a lot of commotion with late parties, excessive noise, and rubbish left on the front garden. The Stoke-on-Trent house wasn’t like that now, it was tidy but a neighbour had come round when they had saw the new owner approach and said the tenant took things that weren’t theirs and left it a mess, although it had been cleaned up now. The house had a bad reputation and advised them to hurry to change the lock immediately because the tenant had been evicted in bad circumstances and was often seen around in the vicinity of the house and area.
The new owners called SureKey Locksmiths and we visited their Stoke-on-Trent new home immediately and changed the front door and back door Euro cylinder locks to the new unbreakable ones and the garage doors front and back to fully secure their new home. We heard that about a week later the ex-landlord and the old tenant had fallen out even further in court and the tenant had been trying to get in the property when the new owners were away. The message, always have your locks changed by an expert locksmith, like SureKey Locksmiths, when you’re moving into a new home – you never know its full history. There maybe copies of your keys floating around from previous owners. Ask us for a security check of your new property, we will check the door locks, windows, garages, cupboards, safes, and any other locks in the house. Don’t compromise on your safety. The quality and history of your locks is the key to your security.

Customer in Stoke-on-Trent Needs Info On The Ultion Locks
A customer called SureKey Locksmiths to his Stoke-on-Trent address to examine his old locks and he ended up quizzing us on the new lock hero – the Ultion Lock.
The chances are that if you have a UPVC, or aluminium, or composite door you will have a lock called a ‘Euro Cylinder’. Historically these were considered to be good locks because they are fairly hard to pick open and are strong.
Your typical Euro Cylinder Lock
However they are known to be vulnerable to ‘snap-attacks’ where the lock can be snapped in the middle with a special tool and then the lock pulled out leaving your home wide open. This is where the Ultion Lock comes in. It’s hard to break, very hard.
Ultion Euro Cylinder Locks and Their Countermeasures
These are higher quality locks ‘Euro’ type cylinder locks, with a guarantee of anti-snap protection. As well as designed weak points the Ultion contain anti-drill pins in the lock. These are hardened steel and will make it very hard to drill the lock it (most likely they will damage the drill).
If the lock is snapped, there are countermeasures in the lock core to stop it being opened from that side. If a door lock is snapped from the outside it is then not possible to open it from the outside. The inside will remain operational.
The Ultion Lock Security Countermeasures
The Ultion contains a number of countermeasures to stop entry. As mentioned before it has hardened steel lock pins meaning that the lock cannot be drilled out. The drill bit will get mangled by the hardened pins.
This lock is pretty much the ultimate in drill protection and snap protection and you should consider this lock to protect your doors and locks.
We’ve been deploying these Ultion Locks around the Stoke-on-Trent and broader Staffordshire area more and more. The security of your house is not just about your house, it’s about your family, your car, your finances, and your protection. Call us to discuss the Ultion Lock and how we can help upgrade your security with the Ultion Lock.
SureKey Locksmiths is fitting these to UPVC doors, aluminium doors, composite doors
- Countermeasures against ‘Lock Snapping’
- Hardened Steel internals to protect against drilling
- Recommended by Locksmiths, the Police, and the British Standards (BSI)
Make sure that your locks are not loose or have play in them, any weakness makes it potentially easier to gain entry. A locksmith, such as SureKey Locksmiths in Stoke-on-Trent, will be able to ensure correct fitting.
